External Circular- Updates of Standards for Non-Surgical Cosmetic Procedures (Version 2.1)

 the jurisdiction of Dubai Heath Authority –Dubai;

Greetings!

 

Reminder 

 

Hereby, a reminder regarding the updated Non-Surgical Cosmetic Procedures Standards (Version 2.1)- 2024 ;attached.

The key updates in the mentioned Standards include:

  1. Appendix of Appendix1 –highlighted that only licensed plastic surgeons are authorized to perform Invasive skin procedures (skin opening) for skin tightening, lifting and or dissolving fats in face and body (point-35).
  2. Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections are only permitted in the face and hair, PRP is not permitted in the body.
  3. Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)/(LPG) shall not be performed by beauty therapists.

 

All licensed health facilities and healthcare professionals shall ensure full compliance with the updated standards; ensuring that only

appropriately licensed professionals undertake procedures within their approved scope of practice and align with the regulatory requirements.
